In recent days, the production floor of Zhejiang Laike New Material Technology Co., Ltd. has been a hub of activity. With fully automated production lines operating smoothly, products like waterproofing agents and lubricants are being packaged and rolled off the line continuously. At full capacity, the daily output can reach 120 tons.

Laike specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of fine chemical products such as acrylic emulsions, paper chemicals, and textile adhesives, serving industries like textiles, papermaking, and coatings. This year, the company has launched three major new products: plastic-replacement solutions for paper, fluorine-free water and oil repellents, and impregnation adhesives. These have been well-received by numerous clients, leading to a consistent increase in order volume.

“To expand our production capacity, we have recently introduced four new reaction kettles, which are expected to increase our annual output by approximately 10,000 tons,” said Zhang Jiaxin, General Manager of the company, with confidence. He added that as of the end of August, the company’s output value had already reached 70 million yuan. Based on sales data, the annual output value is projected to exceed 100 million yuan this year.

Since the second half of the year, many enterprises in Suichang have shifted into high gear, operating at full capacity to fulfill orders and striving to achieve their annual targets. A vibrant production scene is evident across the region.

At Zhejiang Yikai Copper Products Co., Ltd., located in the Daqiao block of the Suichang Industrial Park, dozens of CNC lathes are cutting and shaping according to set programs, filling the air with a constant hum. Workers methodically sort and package the finished products.

“As a company mainly producing PPR ball valves, copper ball valves, and various water distribution units, our competitive edge lies in high cost-performance and superior service,” said Yu Xinhua, General Manager of the company. “Especially since the beginning of this year, active participation in overseas exhibitions has helped us achieve an output value of 38 million yuan in the first half of the year alone, a 45% year-on-year increase.” Based on past experience, he expects several concentrated ordering periods from client groups in the second half of the year, with output value growth remaining at no less than 40%. Preliminary estimates suggest the company's output value will surpass 80 million yuan in 2025, potentially even reaching 90 million yuan.

“Our orders are scheduled until the end of the year. Given the current momentum, our annual output value is expected to exceed 480 million yuan, representing a growth of 20%,” said Fang Dewei, General Manager of Zhejiang Yongshang Special Materials Co., Ltd.

In 2016, responding to the provincial “Return of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs” initiative, Yongshang Special Materials established its roots in Suichang through an industrial upgrade program. Leveraging Suichang’s “Strong Industrial County” drive, the company successively underwent digital and intelligent transformations, achieving independent R&D of original high-end products. Within just a few years, it has grown from a small enterprise with only a few dozen employees into an industry leader.

Currently, Suichang is home to 140 industrial enterprises above the designated size, 44 of which have an annual output value exceeding 100 million yuan, accounting for over 30% of the total. The local government is committed to building a full life-cycle enterprise cultivation model—from incubation and growth support to expansion—accelerating the development of distinctive and promising enterprises, and continuously fostering high-quality, sustainable industrial economic growth.

“We utilize big data and field visits to precisely construct a tiered enterprise cultivation database, strengthening policy incentives and providing financial rewards for technological upgrades and enterprises reaching designated size,” said a responsible official from the Suichang County Economic and Commercial Bureau. “Simultaneously, we fully leverage the enterprise liaison system, collaborating closely with relevant departments and townships (sub-districts) to promptly help enterprises resolve development challenges.”
